The service

The AQA GCSE Religious Studies Exam Accelerator is a six-week live online small-group exam-coaching programme. Each week includes one 60-minute core teaching session on Thursday, 7:00–8:00pm, and one optional 30-minute Exam Clinic on Tuesday, 7:00–7:30pm.

The programme includes six 60-minute core teaching sessions, six optional 30-minute Exam Clinics, an initial diagnostic activity, course resources/model answers, short weekly practice, a final assessment and individual feedback. The Exam Clinics are for questions about that week’s work, checking an argument or paragraph, and getting help with a specific difficulty. They are not additional full lessons, individual tutoring sessions or a replacement for a missed core session.

Applications and acceptance

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place and does not create an obligation to purchase. Applications are reviewed for suitability. A place is confirmed once payment is received.

Parent/carer as customer

For students under 18, the purchasing parent/carer is the customer and main administrative contact.

Payment

The full fee is payable when a place is accepted unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing. No recurring subscription is created by purchasing the six-week programme.

Your statutory cancellation right

Because this service is purchased at a distance, a consumer will normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is entered into to cancel without giving a reason.

To cancel, email robjacksonrs@gmail.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. A simple cancellation form is included below, but you do not have to use it.

Where a valid cancellation is made within the statutory period, any refund due will be made using the original payment method within the period required by law.

If the course begins during the 14-day cancellation period

If the service is due to begin during the statutory cancellation period, you will be asked to make an express request for it to begin early.

Suggested checkout wording:

“I request that Rob Jackson Religion & Philosophy begins providing the service during my 14-day cancellation period. I understand that if I cancel after the service has begun, I may have to pay for the proportion of the service already provided. I understand that once the service has been fully performed, I will lose the statutory right to cancel.”

This consent must not be pre-ticked.

Cancellation after the statutory period

Once any applicable statutory cancellation period has ended, the course fee is normally non-refundable if the student chooses to stop attending. I may use discretion in exceptional circumstances. This does not affect statutory rights.

Missed sessions

If a student misses a core session, relevant course materials will still be made available where appropriate. Individual replacement lessons are not included in the course fee. The optional Exam Clinic is not intended as a catch-up lesson for a missed core session. Sessions are not routinely recorded.

Cancellation by the tutor

If I have to cancel an individual session, I will provide a reasonable replacement arrangement. If I cancel the course and cannot provide an appropriate alternative, the parent/carer will receive a refund for the part of the service that has not been supplied.

Online delivery

Sessions are normally delivered through Google Meet. The parent/carer is responsible for suitable internet access, a suitable device, an appropriate working space and access to any reasonably required course materials.

I am not responsible for temporary disruption caused by the student’s device, internet connection or local network. Where a technical problem on my side materially prevents delivery, I will make a reasonable replacement arrangement.

Student conduct

Students are expected to behave respectfully towards the tutor and other students. Serious or repeated disruption, abusive behaviour or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from a group after reasonable communication with the parent/carer.

Course materials

Resources are provided for the student’s personal educational use. They should not be copied, sold, published online, shared with other tutoring businesses or redistributed beyond normal personal study use without permission.

Educational outcomes

No particular grade, mark or examination result is guaranteed. Progress depends on factors including prior knowledge, attendance, independent work and examination performance.

Safeguarding and communication

The parent/carer remains the main administrative contact. The safeguarding and communication statement published on the website forms part of the operating arrangements for the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms removes or limits statutory consumer rights.
